Armin labs is a German laboratory that specializes in chronic infection diagnostics. It has developed Elispot testing for Lyme Disease and for co-infections and CD57+ testing for Chronic Lyme. The Armin Labs Elispot test is utilized for active infection response to Borrelia and co-infections.

The Armin Labs Elispot test is utilized for active infection response to Borrelia and co-infections. The Elispot test is the best test to reflect current Borrelia burgdorferi activity Borrelia burgdorferi infections. It is highly sensitive and can detect even one single Borrelia burgdorferi-reactive T-cell. With detection levels that can be as low as one cell in 100.000, the Elispot is one of the most sensitive cellular assays available. The Elispot is between 20 and 200 times more sensitive than a conventional ELISA.

For chronic Lyme cases, the CD57+ test would be the test of choice, as it documents the extent of the immune suppression of Chronic Lyme disease.

Elispot test for T-cell response to antigens from Borrelia burgdorferi and co-infections which has the potential to vastly improve Lyme disease diagnosis.
