Dr. Teresa Donovan, Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Donovan completed her undergraduate degree at St. Francis Xavier University, graduating with a B.Sc. in Human Nutrition. After graduating from St. Francis Xavier University, she volunteered with the Coady International Institute, working with in Western Kenya.
She completed a four-year medical degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, an accredited Naturopathic school in Canada. Dr. Teresa Donovan, ND holds a British Columbia Naturopathic License and is a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and the Nova Scotia Association of Naturopathic Doctors (NSAND).
As a Naturopathic practitioner, Dr. Donovan treats all health conditions at the root cause. She spends time with her patients, reviewing their symptoms, health history, and assessing how their whole body functions to find a plan that supports long-term health.
Her approach is in using functional medicine, biological medicine, and energetic medicine (Sankaran Homeopathy & Shamanic Training).
Paul Carter, Acupuncturist & Herbalist
Paul Carter completed a Bachelor of Chinese Medicine from Victoria University in Australia. His degree combined both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. As a part of his course, he attended an internship at Shanghai Shuguang Hospital, China. This experience helped to see Chinese medicine integrated with modern medicine.
Paul has been a registered acupuncturist and herbalist for 10 years in Australia. During this time he ran a private practice. He also continued to enhance his skills through professional development. He is well known in Melbourne Australia for helping with pain and fatigue. Through a day in clinic, Paul will see various conditions. Relieving pain always has the most dramatic effects.
Paul moved to Antigonish with his wife and 2 children in December 2017. They enjoy for a quieter lifestyle and being close to family. In Paul's spare time he enjoys family, outdoors and surfing. He also likes exercise and meditation
